Kimberly Banov has been teaching piano for over 12 years privately and has played for 22 years. She has studied with pianists: Professor Frank Weins from University of Pacific’s Conservatory of Music, Francisco Garibay from the Mexico Conservatory of Music, and Mountain View Academy of Music’s teachers. She has an Associate’s degree in Music Therapy and she is currently finishing her Bachelor’s of Music and will be going on to complete a Masters of Music.
With the help of Pam, director of Modesto Academy of Music and Design, she is also currently getting a certification to teach Harmony Road Music group piano class at B Sharp School of Music and will be providing group piano and music classes for babies, toddlers, pre-school, elementary, high school, and adults through this comprehensive program. Harmony Road classes are unique because the parent-child bond is fostered during the classes as the parent who is present in class, a part of the journey within the learning team right along with the child and teacher. Another program she has found and received direction from its founders, is called Keyboard Gymnastics, a fun and competitive program to test 7 areas of musicianship that helps motivate students to keep moving forward with their progress, with plenty of games to prepare them.
She is dedicated to helping her students develop a life-long passion for music, always finding fresh new ways to make practicing fun, and creating a challenging and individualized program for her students to rise to their ultimate potential as musicians.
